Clarifications on Daily Allowance

( Employees have Option to choose either old or new DA pattern)

Govt have issued orders clarifying as to the claim of Daily Allowance on Tours after implementation of 6 CPC. Accordingly the Govt. employees have been given option either to choose the DA in old rates( order dated 17-04-1998) or new rates ( order dated 23-09-2008) . The option will be applicable as a complete package for a particular tour. However old cases already settled not to be reopened

DA admissible in old pattern and

the corresponding new revised pay in the pay band

Old Pay Revised Pay in the Pay band

Below Rs 4100 Below 8000

4100 to 6499 8000 to 12499

6500 to 7999 12500 to14999

8000 to 16399 15000 to 30499

16400 and above 30500 and above.
