New DA calculation after implementaion of sixth CPC.The 6 CPC has given an Errata in its website for calculation of Dearness Allowance with effect from 01.01.2006 as follows: " The reference base for calculation of DA w.e.f. 01.01.2006 will be the 12 monthly average index of 536 as per AICPI(IW), 1982 series. Based on this errata, the calculation of DA w.e.f. 01.01.2006 will be as under: 12 monthly average of AICPI (IW) as on 01.07.2006 = 55012 monthly average of AICPI (IW) as on 01.01.2007 = 569 12 monthly average of AICPI (IW) as on 01.07.2007 = 58712 monthly average of AICPI (IW) as on 01.01.2008 = 606 12 monthly average of AICPI (IW) as on 01.07.2008 = 626 DA as on 01.01.2006 = [536 - 536]/536 = NILDA as on 01.07.2006 = [550 - 536]/536 = 14 X 100/536 = 2.61 = 2%DA as on 01.01.2007 = [569 - 536]/536 = 33 X 100/536 = 6.15 = 6%DA as on 01.07.2007 = [587 - 536]/536 = 51 X 100/536 = 9.51 = 9%DA as on 01.01.2008 = [606 - 536]/536 = 70 X 100/536= 12.93 = 12%DA as on 01.07.2008 = [626 - 536]/536 = 90 X 100/536 = 16.79 = 16%
