Enhancement of period of Maternity Leave on adoption of child
As per O M . No. 13018/1/2009-Estt.(L) dated 22-07-2009 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, the Child Adoption Leave has been enhanced from 135 days to 180 days. The facility of Paternity Leave to adoptive fathers will also be available for 15 days. The orders will be effective from the date of issue of this Order.
