Self-service Post Office

Self-service Post Office
Arousing great interest was the Self Post Locker from TRECO, an electronic self service post office that completes the challenge of first and last mile logistics. When customers have purchased a stamp for a letter they can drop it off in the letterbox built into the system. A separate letterbox for registered letters or Express mail is an option that can easily be added. The locker can also function as a traditional PO box, only with much less administration. As the locks of the boxes are controlled electronically, there is no need for keys, which can easily become lost; Customers still have a unique PO box number, but the actual box containing the mail may be different from day-to-day depending on the volume of mail for received. Thus it is also possible to receive parcels in the box and pay for parcels where COD or customs fees apply.
